Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information the OpenAgention project processes when you browse the course site and use its educational content.
Project Status
OpenAgention is currently maintained as an independent project rather than through a separate corporate entity. References to "we" or "OpenAgention" in this policy mean the project and its maintainers operating the site.
What We Collect
We keep this site lean. The information we process today is limited to browser-side preferences and technical data needed to operate the course site.
- Browser-side storage such as theme preference, course mode preference, UI state.
- Technical request metadata used to secure and operate the service, including anti-abuse checks.
How We Use Information
- Remember product preferences and restore in-progress state.
- Prevent abuse, rate-limit requests, and keep the site stable.
Cookies, Local Storage, and Scripts
OpenAgention uses browser storage in a narrow, operational way. The storage in use today is convenience-oriented, such as theme preference, mode selection, and panel state stored in your browser.
How Information Is Shared
We do not sell personal information. We may disclose information only when necessary to operate the service, prevent abuse, comply with law, or protect platform security.
Retention
We retain information for as long as it is reasonably needed to run the course features, investigate abuse, or satisfy legal obligations. Browser-side storage remains under your control and can usually be cleared from your browser settings.
Your Choices
- You can browse most educational content without signing in.
- You can clear local browser storage for saved preferences and local UI state.
